The word wellness confines a large perimeter of various meanings which directly relates to life. If we try to simplify, the word ‘Wellness’ often refers to the state of being well. Now here’s the question of the hour – What is being referred to, when we use the word ‘well’? Keeping in mind the intricate detailing factor, being well can end up depicting a wide range of definitions and perspective. Different individuals possess different sets of definition of being well. Also it’s obvious to vary man to man. The same conditions which can bring along wellness for a specific individual might turn out to be dull for others. But obviously there are some default set of conditions which are obligatory to invite wellness, for everyone. Let’s go through those aspects one by one, briefly.

Speaking of Wellness the most relevant term which comes to our mind is satisfaction. If we firmly believe that we can definitely attain satisfaction then we automatically pave the way out for wellness to come. Needless to say, mental happiness (state of being happy from mind and soul) plays the role of a fulcrum on the quest of attaining wellness. An individual, who is never happy mentally or rather ever tries to be happy mentally, can never enjoy the glimpse of wellness. So if we try to satisfy our minds, hopefully that helps in commencing the journey towards wellness. For an instance, if we want a specific material (money, prosperity or fame for example) for our happiness, we should be clear about our satisfaction. We should learn the art of being content otherwise, no matter how much materialistic wealth we own, we can never be content and a person who is never content or satisfied can never achieve wellness till their demise. Off late, we are often engaged in the quest of accomplishing wealth, growth – but en route to that path, we often miss out on wellness. The second aspect is arguably the most important factor – The physical wellness factor. Previously we discussed the importance of mental wellness and satisfaction but we should also keep an eye on our physical wellness. A person who is physically unfit, eats a whole lot of garbage in every meal can never attain mental balance which leads to a deficit of overall wellness. Specifically speaking these two aspects are intertwined – i.e. they both depend on each other to facilitate. So it’s unthinkable of ignoring the physical wellness as well. Now, if we intend to achieve physical wellness, fitness automatically comes into the scenario. We all know there are various ways to obtain a fit body – but as the pundits suggest, a good health makes its way through a healthy kitchen. So firstly, we should try and infuse as much nutrients as possible in our diet. One thing should never be neglected that the nature has everything in store for us – all we need is to sort them out and include them in our day-to-day regime. Along with instilling the right food in our system, we should indulge ourselves in some physical activities as well. Even if we are falling short of time to hit the gym, some basic running or walking should never be skipped.

Basically there are several more aspects to wellness – avoiding over-thinking, not letting depression to crawl upon; these are some of the prime ways to embrace wellness. At last but not the least, attaining wellness is completely dependent on the specific individual – if a person is determined to achieve wellness, he will, otherwise he can’t.
