Like any other business, network marketing also has some basic principles that one must know and follow to succeed. Network marketing is a systematic process that works like a computer algorithm, there specific steps, and proper order. It is not a lottery ticket to get rich instantly; it is a legit business where you have to work hard to reap the benefits. Although the process is simple and getting tangible results is not so tricky, but people often tend to overcomplicate things because of their lack of knowledge and experience.

I have been in the marketing sector for over 18 years. During my 18 years of actively working as a network marketer, I have found some basics that always remain constant and always work. No matter how intelligent you are or how hard you try, progress becomes extremely difficult unless you follow these basics. These are your keys to a successful network marketing career. Here is the list of four fundamental principles that you should always remember and follow to succeed in network marketing.

1. Follow The System:

No matter how intelligent you are or how hard you try, progress becomes extremely difficult unless you follow these basics. These are your keys to a successful network marketing career. Here is the list of four fundamental principles that you should always remember and follow to succeed in network marketing.

2. The Learning Curve:

If you have joined MLM, that means you know the potential of this business, and you already have a specific vision in your mind. But now, the most crucial step is LEARNING. You must understand that this is not going to happen overnight. You need to get through a learning curve. You have to work on yourself; you have to sharpen your skillset; you have put in the effort and master the MLM fundamentals. Do not go after instant gratification, do not think that you will get rich overnight. Think of it like going to college to earn a degree and then studying for 3 or 4 years, only after you have completed the degree you can apply for jobs and use your skillset; similarly, you have to do all the learning first then only you can set a course for your journey. Just follow your mentors and seniors, read all the relevant literature, and you would be able to learn quickly. First, you must do the learning, then comes the earning.

3. Your Business Growth Is Proportional To Your Personal Growth:

You might not wholly release it right now, but soon you would understand that the most critical part of the entire process is personality development. Your business is as good as you are; if you are great, your business is excellent and vice-versa. To succeed in network marketing, you have to develop all kinds of skills. You have to keep growing, keep developing your communication and presentation skills. Your business will grow as long as your personality grows. You do not only have to develop yourself; you also have to groom your team. Be an excellent leader and help your team members refine, grow, and develop their personalities. Use your leadership and social skills in the field and take the market by storm.

4. Do Not Be Afraid Of Rejection:

I have seen a lot of candidates quit network marketing just because they could not take a few rejections. Mind you, some of these candidates were excellent, but because of few rejections, they abandoned a lucrative career that was a few steps away. Most people face a few rejections, and then they just quit. Remember those above you faced more rejections than you could imagine. They are there because they showed patience and persistence. You will get rejections every day, but you must understand that not everyone (you approach) will sometimes join, even the people who are dear to you would reject you, do not let that disappoint you and keep your eyes on the prize. I understand how much it hurts when even people close to you will not have faith in you. Let me tell you about my own experience with rejection. When I joined, I had only one person in mind. It was my best friend. We had been friends from our infancy. We were in college (together) when I joined, and when I approached him and explained the business, he rejected me straight away. I was ready to give his joining fee myself, I tried everything, but he did not listen. That was a severe blow for me, but I kept going, and by the grace of the Lord, I became a successful network marketer. Remember, the rejections would hurt temporarily, but the success you achieve would be permanent. Just keep your efforts up and keep interacting with people. Eventually, you will have more yeses than nos!
